The PAP keeps telling us S’pore cannot afford to be on auto-pilot. But since 8 May S’pore has been on auto-pilot.
The PM has yet to announce his new cabinet, let alone tell us whether he has accepted Dad’s and GCT’s offer to step down from the cabinet.
Waz going on?
Anyway, this delay shows us that S’pore is such a well-oiled machine that it can afford to go on auto-pilot when the PM decides to dither.
Actually s’pore has been on auto-pilot since the 1980s. All our policies and whatever initiatives have been merely slow and gradual evolution from policies made in the 1970s and 1980s. You can time-travel a civil servant from MOF or EDB in the 1980s and transplant him in the same institution today, and he will be able to understand and carry out his functions as smoothly as his present-day counterparts.
More reason to ignore PAP warning. )))
