shaking hands when meeting people was an old practice in the days when everyone had weapon, and stretching empty right hand shows u r not going to kill the other guy; it is a barbaric tradition, now a threat to community health; we should all follow thai greeting method

put hands together and bow; Japanese used to bow without shaking hand; now they do both, so should return to old practice
